Prep golf: West 2nd, Tigers 4th in MVC divisional meets

DUBUQUE - Waterloo West remains fourth after two rounds of the Mississippi Valley Confernence Mississippi Division golf tournament.
The Wahawks shot 304 Monday at the Bunker Hill Golf Course in Dubuque, led by Collin Trenkamp's 73.
In the overall individual standings, Austin Jackson stands in 11th for West with a two-round total of 149. Tom Richter's tied for 13th with a 151.
Collin Trenkamp led West with a 73 Monday.
Cedar Rapids Kennedy leads the team race with 564, 18 strokes better than Linn-Mar. The Wahawks stand at 606.
The final round is Sept. 26 at Irv Warren Golf Course in Waterloo.
At Gates Park, Cedar Rapids Xavier leads Cedar Falls by 13 strokes after two rounds in the Valley Division.
The Saints led by one stroke after the MVC supermeet in August and expanded their lead by 12 Monday.
The Tigers were led by Jacob Bermel's 76. Bermel is tied for third in the medalist race.
The final round will be Sept. 26 at Airport National in Cedar Rapids.
