Steimel Named MVC Athlete of the Week

Mike Steimel has been named MVC Athlete of the Week for the week of October 19th-24th, 2009.
From his linebacking position, Mike broke the school record for tackles in a season with 99 including 65 solos and 34 assists. He helped his Wahawks nearly pull off a huge upset in the final week as they bowed to 7-2 Hempstead, 10-7. He tied for the most interceptions in the MVC with 5.
