About the Warrior Hockey Head Coach

Head Coach Doug Dietz

Doug Dietz is in his first year as head coach of the Waterloo Warriors Hockey team.  He is a 1983 West Waterloo graduate and was a member of the Warrior Hockey team that won the State Hockey Championship in 1980 and 1983.  He was selected to the all-state team 4 times while playing for the Warriors and is a member of the West High Hall of Fame.  Doug played 2 seasons for the Waterloo Black Hawks (selected to south All-Star team), college hockey at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point which won the NCAA Division III National Hockey Championship, and professional hockey in Yugoslavia.  He graduated from UNI and works as a Probation/Parole agent.  Coach Dietz is involved with USA hockey, coached players at the National Development Camp in Rochester, NY, and is VP and Director of Player Development for Midwest USA Hockey.
