IGHSAU Regional Women’s Soccer Tournament
SCHEDULE:
KINGSTON STADIUM LOCATION: (Click Here for Directions) Kingston Stadium is located at 907 15th Street SW in Cedar Rapids. Enter through the gate behind the pressbox. Team buses may park in the lower Kingston parking lot (south of the stadium).
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION: Refer to your IGHSAU Soccer Manual.
The winners will play on Monday, June 6 at the same corresponding times in Kingston Stadium.
LOCKER ROOMS: Will be available at Kingston Stadium. You will be responsible for your own valuables.
TEAM UNIFORM COLORS: The bottom team listed is the home team (Jefferson & Washington) and should wear light colored uniforms. The team listed on the top of the bracket is the visitor and should wear dark.
TEAM BOXES: All players, coaches, and authorized team personnel are to be in the team box when not participating or waiting to substitute. The designated home team will occupy the team box to the right as you face the field.
PRACTICE: There will be no practice on the tournament field except by the schools that have used Kingston as a practice field – Jefferson & Washington.
WARM-UP: Teams may take the field for warm-up no earlier than 30 minutes before game time.
ADMISSION: $ 5.00 for everyone. Only IGHSAU passes will be honored.
The only admission gate will be behind the pressbox at Kingston Stadium. The admission gate will be open one hour before the first game of the night.
CONCESSIONS: Kingston Stadium will have concessions available in the NW corner of the stadium.
VIDEOTAPING: Space will be provided in the pressbox to videotape your game.
TRAINER: A certified athletic trainer will be on duty.
Washington & Jefferson will be responsible for providing ballpersons and game balls for the Kingston site.
OFFICIALS: Officials for tournament games have been assigned by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.
SPORTSMANSHIP: We expect the very best in sportsmanship from all players, coaches, and fans during all games in this Regional. Let’s treat opponents and officials with the respect they deserve and stay free of any cards during this tournament.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa --- Waterloo West battled Cedar Rapids Prairie to a 1-1 Mississippi Valley Conference girls' soccer draw Tuesday in a game that was stopped because of lightning with 2 1/2 minutes remaining.
Maria Wagenhofer put the Wahawks (5-10-1 overall, 4-8-1 MVC) up with 16 minutes, 6 seconds left in the first half on an assist from Courtney Richman.
Prairie tied the game with 24:36 left in the second half.
West opens regional play June 1 against Cedar Rapids Jefferson at Kingston Stadium in Cedar Rapids.
