About the Coach
Tammy Utley - Waterloo West High Softball Head Coach
Tammy Utley is the new Head Softball Coach at West High School. She has 15 years of coaching experience, 11 years as an assistant (Mid-Prairie High School (6), University of Northern Iowa (5)) and the upcoming season will be her 4th year as a head coach (the first 3 were at Cedar Falls High School).
Utley earned a degree in Sports Management from the University of Iowa, where she also was a part of the Hawkeye Softball program for 4 years. As a Hawkeye, Utley played in the Women’s College World Series in 1996 and 1997, and was part of the Hawkeye squad who went undefeated in the Big Ten in 1997.
Coach Utley is looking forward to continuing her coaching career at West High and leading the already successful Wahawk softball program.
