We would like to welcome you to the 2008 Class 4A Men’s District Golf Tournament to be held at Ellis Park Golf Course on Tuesday, October 7^th. Ellis Golf Course is located on 1401 Zika Ave. NW in Cedar Rapids (319-286-5589). Starting time will be at 10:30 am. There will be a coaches meeting in the clubhouse at 9:45 am. Players meetings will be held at 10:10 am. 

Each team may enter six (6) players. The four best scores will be added to determine each team’s score. This is an 18-hole tournament. Twenty-six threesomes will start at 10:30 am by shotgun. The threesome assignments are included with this mailing. 

Each school should bring a check for $10 per player to the meet or send it now to Kennedy High School. The check should be made out to Kennedy High School – we will pay Ellis Golf Course directly. 

The first, second, and third place teams will advance to the state meet at Beaver Run in Grimes on October 10^th and 11^th. The fourth place team WILL NOT qualify for the state meet, if a home school finishes first, second, or third. The lowest four individual scores and all fourth place ties will also qualify for the next level of play. This is regardless of whether or not they are on a qualifying or non-qualifying team. 
          

A driving range is available and will be open for teams to use.  Balls will be provided by the course at no charge.  Assigned times for the range:

9:00-9:30 am - CR Jefferson, CR Kennedy, CR Prairie, CR Washington, CR Xavier, Linn-Mar

9:30-10:00 am - Cedar Falls, Waterloo East,
Waterloo West, Dubuque Hempstead,

Dubuque Senior, Dubuque Wahlert, Marshalltown

    9:45 - Coaches Meeting

    10:10 - Players Meetings

    10:20 - Cart players to starting holes

    10:30 - Shotgun start

The Wahawk Boys' Golf Team finished 3rd in the Final MVC Division Meet of the year at the Twin Pines Golf Course in Cedar Rapids. Here are the results of this Fall's competition:

The Wahawk Boys' Varsity Golf Team captured the Metro Golf Championship with a win on Wednesday, September 24th, 2008.
