Warm up: Pool play 4-4-2 first match and 4-1 remaining matches. Coin flip to determine serve and home team. Teams may also warm up in the Upper Gymnasium, supervised by their coaches.
Seeding: Round Robin format within the pool. The winner of the Pool A will play the Winner of Pool B for the Metro Championship.
Locker rooms: There will be locker rooms available for dressing and showering. Teams will be responsible for their own valuables. Waterloo West does not provide supervision for the locker rooms and is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles. Towels not provided.

Criteria:
Pool Play: Best two of three games to 21 (no cap),
third game to 15, if necessary.
Championship Play: Two of three to 25 (no cap),
third game to 15, if necessary.
Libero trackers and scorekeepers will be provided. Teams
will be asked to provide line judges.
Warm up:
Pool play 10 minutes (5 min. each team) first match and 5 minutes for remaining matches. The lower gym will be available for warm-ups. Coin flips to determine serve and home.
Seeding:
The top six teams will continue to championship play.Pool play will be seeded upon completion by the following:
Admission: $5 adults, $4 children (Kindergarten – 12th grade).
No passes will be accepted.
Locker rooms: There will be locker rooms available for dressing and showering. Teams will be responsible for their own valuables. Waterloo Columbus does not provide supervision for the locker rooms and is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles. Towels not provided.
Trainers will be available. Concessions will be available. Coolers in the Commons only.

Below is the information necessary for the tournament to be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008.
Site: Two pools will be played at Cedar Falls High School (Pools A & B) and two pools will be played at Northern University High School (Pools C & D). (Map enclosed) The championship bracket will be played out at Cedar Falls High School and the Consolation bracket will be played at Northern University High School.
Time: 8:00 am - facility opens.
9:00 am - Pool play begins.
Note: There will be NO coaches meeting.
Admission: $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for students - Good for all day at both schools.
Locker rooms: Locker rooms will be available at both high schools. Please bring your own towels and locks. Cedar Falls High School and Northern University High School will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles.
Concessions: Will be available. Please do not bring food or beverages into the gym. There will be an area in the hallway for your team to set up camp. Each team will receive free meal tickets for coaches.
Warm-up balls: Volleyballs will be provided at each school, please do not bring your own.
Line judges: Will be provided by the host team.
Scorekeepers: Scorekeepers will be provided for the championship and consolation
Warm-up: Teams playing at 9:00 will begin warm-up at 8:50. These teams will have a 4-3-3 warm-up. Teams playing the second match will also have a 3-3 warm-up on the net they will be playing on. Ball handling for these teams must be done on the warm up nets. After a team has played once, all ball handling will take place on warm up nets, hitting and serving will be 3 minutes shared on the court you play on. Coaches MUST be with their teams during warm-ups.
Playoff warm-ups : Warm-up for tournament play will be 3 minutes shared net hitting and one minute serving for the first game for each team. After the first game for each team, play will begin immediately.
Method of play:
1. There will be a coin flip for choice of serve and side.
2. Pool play will consist of each team playing the best two of
three games to 21 (no cap). Third game to 15. The FIRST
AND SECOND place teams in each pool will advance to the
Championship bracket at Cedar Falls. The THIRD AND
FOURTH place teams will be in the Consolation bracket at
NU High.
3. Seeding within the pool will be determined by:
1. Overall win-loss record
2. Head to head game record
3. Head to head defensive points
4. Overall defensive points

5. Bracket play will consist of each team playing the best two
out of three games to 25 (no cap). Third game to 15.
